Nine-year-old rescued stray offers his unique perspective on life... in memory of his brother that crossed the rainbow bridge in August 2009.
"Gomer" - the beagle-puppy-found-in-a-dumpster-that-grew-up-to-be-a-yellow-lab crossed the rainbow bridge August 17th, 2009. His blog and good deeds are carried forth via "Dogs Aye View" by his brother Opie - the red-headed-some-kind-of-hound-that-Gomer-brought-home. His unique view of life, quirky, goofy, humorous antics and neurotic, unusual and sometimes inconsistent perspective on their world is shared. Please participate and share your dogs'-eye-view with us.
Opie: I'm the always playful, ever dopey, hound dog that likes things MY way. In July 2001, I was dumped off in a park in AZ, picked up by strangers and taken to Friends For Life Animal Sanctuary, where Gomer convinced dogmom to take me home. I've almost got the dogmom trained... it takes patience, let me tell ya!
Dogmom: The dog-crazy woman with a heart for psychologically special-needs dogs. Their life was hell before I got them; my job is to show them heaven on earth.
Gomer's Spirit/Memory: I crossed the rainbow bridge August 17th, 2009. Originator of Dogs' Aye view, I was a beagle puppy found in a dumpster in Guadalupe, AZ in late April 2000 that grew up to be a 50-pound yellow lab.
