It's DogMom's BarkDay!

I've got lots of stuff planned!

First, she's going to take me outside to the little off-leash area in the apartment complex so I can do my business and get ready for the day.

Then, she's gonna feed me breakfast. (And, maybe Floyd can have some breakfast, too.)

Then, she's going to give herself a rainy bath so she can take me on a walk around the preserve trail.

Then, she's gonna come back in and snuggle with me since it's kinda cold and drizzly outside. Once I'm all warm and toasty, maybe I'll let her give me a massage.

Then, we'll both take a nap... although usually when I take a nap is when she plays with Floyd and moves stuff around in the kitchen and makes the dishes have no taste and stuff.

Oh well... gotta get going!

It's My Pupped-Day!

Yup. Today is the annifursary of the day I was pupped!

Sorry. There are no puppy pictures to share. Dogmom and Jennifer from Friends For Life didn't find me till almost three months from today in that dumpster. And then, when dogmom finally took me home, she took lots of pictures, but that was before everybody (and especially dogmom) could afford digital cameras. So the pictures we did have got lost when we moved to Minnesota when I was two.

Dogmom says I'm 8 years old. Dogmom says I'm her middle-aged old man.

Funny. I don't feel a day over four.

Anypaws, thanks for visiting today. And don't forget to leave a comment because of what we aren't supposed to tell you. (Details here.) Every visitor = 10 cents and every comment = 25 cents toward surgery for an animal that needs it or a donation toward an animal that doesn't have a home.
And don't forget to tell everydog and everycat and everybunny and everyhampster to visit today, too. Oh, yeah, and even your humans should visit if you think they can figure it out.

We Met Floyd!

Well, sort of.

We interrupt this post to remind you to tell everydog about Gomer's Birthday tomorrow, April 1 and what we're doing that's special... DON'T TELL DOGMOM! It's not an April fool's joke! It's ok to post it on your blog so long as you send us an email (dogs aye view at A O L dot com) to tell us you did. Now, back to our post.

Dogmom's been afraid to let us both see Floyd at the same time. She says we share a brain and that if one of us thinks it might be a good idea to chase and catch and unstuff the kitten, well, then she doesn't have any control over us because we both think it's a good idea.

But, apparently, it's not.

Anyways, she's been going in there for a while every morning and every evening. In the room upstairs that's attached to the bathroom. And we hear her talking to Floyd. And we here him purring really loud. And we hear her put food in his bowl and him eat it. And we hear her scratch on something and then smell something like pooh, but then that smell goes away again. And we here her throw toys and Floyd chase them.

We want to play too.

Anyways, this weekend the dogmom said she wanted to try a new test. She put up the pet gate that she used to use in our other house on the top of the stairs when she wanted us to stay in the basement. See it?

Then, she let Floyd out of the bathroom! See?

She said she was really proud of us because she knows we could jump that gate, but we didn't! And even though Opie scratched a little hole in it, he didn't try to push through it. And we all stood there for like forever. Well, maybe it was just 10 minutes, but it seemed like forever. And then know what?

Floyd just walked away from us and went back into the bathroom and meowed really loud. Can you believe it?

Happy Birthday GrandDogMom!

Today is our granddogmom's birthday! She lives in Ohio where dogmom grew up.

We think it would be fun if everybody who reads our blog today sends our granddogmom an email birthday greeting or posts a birthday greeting as a comment on our blog today. (Granddogmom is, um, older than 75 years old ... so she's older than us! even though she doesn't look like she's old enough to retire yet!) AND, she just got her first email address and computer about a month ago.

So, if you want to send her an email birthday greeting, please identify yourself as one of Gomer & Opie's friends and send it to sittoe@gmail.com.

Barkday Prezzants!

Dogmom was so excited when she came home last night. I mean, moreso than usual, ya know? She's usually happy to see us and all; but sometimes she's looking to see if we were good boyz or not and doesn't share our enthusiasm. Know what we mean?

Anyways, DogMom dropped one of her paper things when she came in the door last night. Opie went to look at it... I told him he better stay away cuz he was going to get in trouble...

Of course, Opie doesn't listen... 'specially to me ... and he just stood there and looked at dogmom.

Dogmom didn't seem upset and said it was ok, so I went to check it out, too. She said it has our name on it so she's not supposed to open it. See how I don't really believe her?

Anyways, we opened it. There was a plastic bag in it, so dogmom took it away from us, but only for a minute. She let us smell the paper. And then she opened the plastic bag.

TREATS! WE THINK IT SOUNDS LIKE TREATS!

Dogmom said it wasn't treats to eat. She called it Prezzants. Prezzants from Butchy and Snickers and their dogmom. We sat and waited patiently, cuz we didn't have any idea whatsoever what she was talking about...

Then, she showed us! We got new bandannas! She put them on us and we were very excited... We smelled them.

I tried to show mine off to the neighbor dogs, but alas, nobody was outside.

We both posed for this picture so that we could show Butchy and Snickers and their dogmom how very handsome we look in our new bandannas!

Then dogmom said we were dressed for dinner... so we chowed!
Thanks, Butchy and Snickers for our cool new bandannas! We can't wait to show them to Randi when she comes to take us for a walk today. Then the whole neighborhood will see them too!

(If you'd like one of these cool bandannas, email Butchy and Snickers dogmom by clicking here! Or, you could go directly to their auction site and see if you can find something else you'd like...SnitchyBug Dog Designs!)
