Home from Dog Pad

We had a blast at Dog Pad this weekend while dogmom went to the wedding in Ohio. Dogmom said these pictures show how we behaved while she was gone...

Tory told dogmom that I was trying to get attention by barking all the time and not listening to her. Since Opie was behavin', I had to do something, ya know? I mean... it's not like she was busy doing anything else... well, um, maybe she was... 'cuz there were a lot of dogs staying at Dog Pad over the weekend. Something about it being summer vacation.

Anypaws, that's why I needed the attention!

Opie was an angel. I think he needs some psycho help. Dogmom thinks that we both do... if one of us behave, the other one doesn't. She's getting exhausted trying to figure out how to get us both to be good at the same time!

(Oh, yeah... almost forgot... she told us to let you know that Gemi's surgery is scheduled for August 6th! Between all of you who helped... and IMOM.org ... and Randi's clients who helped ... we raised all the money she needed to get Gemi's mouth fixed! Yea!!!)

Where Did Checkers Go?

Dogmom said Checkers went back home last night. I don't get it. I thought she was going to live in our bathroom for longer. I miss her already.

Dogmom said she can tell I miss her, I mean, even though I never met her, 'cuz when she left with dogmom last night, well, I kinda went looking for Checkers. First, I ran upstairs and I looked in the bathroom. I looked in all the corners and smelled her everywhere. But, I couldn't find her.

And, I looked inside the purple carrier and I couldn't find her. And, I looked inside the big wire crate; I couldn't find her.

I told dogmom that the bunny was gone. She said that she already knew that. That Checkers went back home to live with Alex and Reed and their parents again. Something about them being back from vacation and missing Checkers. Well, now what? I miss Checkers, too.

Anyways. Dogmom said that we should show you how happy Checkers is to be home.

Here is Checkers with Alex; Alex loves his bunny very much and missed Checkers while he was on vacation with the rest of the family. (Just between us dogs, I think Alex thought that Opie and I might try to make rabbit stew out of his bunny... isn't that silly???)

And, here is Reed giving Checkers a big kiss on the cheek! We think Alex thought that Reed was going to kiss him instead of Checkers...

And, she thought that you should see the new puppy that Alex and his family brought us! It's sitting on the fireplace, right next to our family portrait that Mr. Benda took!

We're Goin' Back to Dog Pad!

Dogmom is going away this weekend to see Auntie Dawn (not Ginger) and Auntie Brenda (not Bailey) and Auntie Ann (not Charm and Mollie) and Siti Louise (no Pooh Bear either!). We don't know why she'd bother seeing all those humans at one time when none of the dogs will be there!

I mean, what's the point of visiting relatives if you aren't going to see the dogs?

Dogmom said something about a girls' weekend away with her sisters and her mom to celebrate grandogmom's birthday. Anyways, because the dogs aren't going, we don't want to go either.

So, we're gonna go to Dog Pad and see Tory again... we'll be back in a few days!

We Be Da Bestest Boyz!

So, we're still playing at Dog Pad this morning and we're so excited, cuz we think DogMom is going to come and get us today and take us home. It seems like the right amount of time.

We're really excited, cuz we think we've been the absolute bestest boyz ever for Tory and Mike this time...

• I (Gomer) didn't growl at anybody for trying to pay too much attention to me, especially the new girl.
• Opie hasn't jumped the fence even one time!
• Opie didn't get snarky with anybody because he didn't want to go inside and take his "going home today" bath.

Ok, well, we weren't both perfect... ahem, although I was... since Opie pee'd all over his t-shirt after Tory put it on him since he was cold.

Anyways, we were really good boyz this time and we can't wait for dogmom to come get us so that Tory can tell her and she'll be all excited and, you know what?

I bet we'll get one of those special chew bones when we get home!
